we are open: the pressroom – breakfast, drinks, and plenty of good reasons to stay.
Some places are for the morning. Others for the evening. The pressroom does both. Here, you can start your day with a breakfast that’s anything but ordinary: granola bars, pancakes, build-your-own bagels, rotating signature dishes, and really great coffee. Later, the breakfast vibe turns into a bar atmosphere. Coffee turns into an aperitif. “Just a quick one” turns into “come on, let’s have one more.” The Pressroom is your new spot at Hood House—for breakfast with a friend, afternoon cake, after-work drinks and events that don’t look like they’re in a conference room.

Forget boring breakfast plates. At the pressroom, there’s a buffet where the question isn’t whether you’ll get full, but where to start.
Our signature dishes change regularly so your breakfast isn’t the same every day. Sometimes bagels, sometimes cinnamon rolls, sometimes shakshuka—always full of flavor, quality, and a little “Okay, wow.”
To go with it, we offer barista coffee, select products, and artisanal cheeses from Backensholzer Hof. In short: breakfast you don’t just eat. Breakfast you’ll be talking about.

There’s no set time for a good drink. At the pressroom, the bar vibe kicks in whenever you’re in the mood.
An afternoon aperitif? A glass of wine after a meeting? A long drink with a friend? Or just a drink because the day calls for it? Welcome to the bar. Our signature drink is the Caramel Espresso Martini with gold dust. Sweet, invigorating, creamy, a little decadent, and quite photogenic. It’s one of those drinks where you take a quick look, then take a sip, and then say, “Okay, I’ll have another one.”
We also offer aperitifs, beer, premium wines, long drinks, soft drinks, and snacks that pair perfectly with your drink.

The pressroom isn’t just a place to eat and drink. It’s a place where things happen.
That’s why we are hosting recurring events that make your day, your week, and the neighborhood just a little bit better: after-work gatherings, breakfast clubs, tastings, small community evenings, and special events you’ll remember. Sometimes the day starts with a Breakfast Club. Sometimes it ends with drinks at an after-work event. Sometimes it’s about coffee, wine, food, music, conversation, or simply being in the right place with the right people. So stay tuned!

How to reach us
Parking – Safe & secure!
Winterhude is a vibrant residential and commercial quarter and the number of public parking spaces is therefore limited. However, you don’t need to worry finding a space as we offer several free and monitored spaces for you to unload right in front of the hotel – please press the button reception at the machine in front of the barrier leading to the parking. Our team will open the barrier leading for you.
Either you stay here or you use our garage whih is which is only a 3-minute walk away.

Stops Bus
Central train station: From Hamburg’s main train station, take bus no. 17 towards U-Bahnhof (underground) Berner Heerweg or bus no. 6 towards U Borgweg and disembark at the Goldbekplatz stop (9 stops) – from here it is a 3-minute walk to reach us.
Airport: take the S1 line heading towards Wedel and disembark at Ohlsdorf. From here, take the U1 urban rail towards Farmsen until you get to Hudtwalcker Straße. Change into bus 25 towards
U-Bahn Burgstraße and get off at Dorotheenstraße. From here it is a 5 minute walk until you reach us.
Yes. The pressroom is part of Hood House and is the new all-day dining spot on the premises. You’ll find us right inside Hood House in Winterhude: open to hotel guests, locals, neighbors, business people, and anyone in the mood for a good breakfast, coffee, cake, drinks, and events.
Yes, absolutely. The pressroom isn't just for hotel guests. External guests, locals, friends, teams from the area, and passersby are all welcome.

Saturday & Sunday: 7:00 AM– noon
We regularly announce the times for Coffee & Cake, drinks, events, and specials on our website and social media channels.
